Our expanding Asset Management Group is seeking Monitoring Engineer candidates who can support ongoing growth.
The Asset Monitoring Team specialise in measuring and forecasting dynamic behaviour and health of civil infrastructure and earthworks using established and innovative technologies, including drones. With clients, we specify, develop and implement instrumentation and monitoring (I&M) systems to baseline performance, detect behaviour and mitigate risk of failure. We offer consultancy to optimise construction methodologies, and asset management strategies through analytics and early warnings.
As an example, our projects range from large scale monitoring of earthworks and structures associated with the construction of HS2, through to research projects trialling innovative monitoring techniques on bridges for Network Rail.
The role will require supporting the Monitoring Manager in technical and operational roles in an expanding team.

Job responsibilities:
- Developing I&M specifications, method statements, action plans and regimes
- Data visualisation, analysis and interpretation of results in accordance with the scope and technical standards and/or statutory requirements
- Assisting with planning and preparation of site work
- Undertaking site-based duties, including installation, commissioning and maintenance of monitoring instrumentation and traditional optical surveying/monitoring
- Production of well written technical reports and other deliverables
- Supervision and mentoring of junior staff

- Availability to travel and to work on site performing I&M installation, operation, and maintenance tasks
- Work experience in construction/civil engineering/surveying or I&M industry
- Understanding of Geotechnical I&M

Preferred qualifications:
- Understanding / proven experience in surveying, investigating and/or monitoring civils assets e.g. structures, earthworks.
- CAD knowledge
- PTS and CSCS cards
- Full and clean driving Licence and availability to drive company vans and vehicles
