We are currently recruiting for a Senior Hydraulic Modeler with experience in water modelling to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects and environmental studies. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities. Our group has an established track record of successfully providing hydraulic and drainage analysis throughout the UK, USA and Australia, not to mention Canada or Middle East. You may have the opportunity to work as part of a diverse and multicultural team, learning from our highly qualified hydraulic modelers colleagues across the world.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Works as part of a hydraulic modeler management team with other engineers at the same functional level that can be from different EC offices (Poland, Spain, India, etc).
  • Coordinates and leads small teams focused on hydraulic modelling.
  • Works autonomously within established procedures and practices, with latitude to determine work priorities.
  • Performs quality control review of calculations and technical report.
  • Ensures that project technical goals/milestones/ budgets are met.
  • Prepares complex project deliverables using a team of junior technical and support staff, providing supervision to and mentoring less experienced staff.
Minimum Requirements
  • Proven track record of working on hydraulic modelling (+8 years).
  • Experience with international regulations and standards will be considered favorably.
  • Proficiency on hydraulic modelling using any of the following software: Innovyze software package (Infoworks ICM, Infowater, etc.), Bentley software (WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, etc.).
  • Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System.
  • Ability to solve complex issues with limited direction on this specific water field.
  • Well versed on Digital Engineering techniques, especially on GIS platforms.
  • Demonstrable international experience, with special focus in the US or UK (Consultancy or Local Authorities) performing hydraulic Analysis.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering or related field.
