We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to help deliver consultancy services to clients across Ireland and the UK. The role sits within the wider UK&I Practice covering all elements of Ground Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to help deliver consultancy services to clients across Ireland and the UK. The role sits within the wider UK&I Practice covering all elements of Ground Engineering.
We embrace flexible and hybrid working arrangements under AECOM’s Freedom to Grow policy. While nominally based in our Belfast office, successful candidates may combine working from home with in-person attendance. We will also consider candidates from Dublin, Cork, Galway & across all of Ireland

REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must have a track record in delivery of ground engineering projects in Ireland or the UK and be fully conversant with the technical standards that apply.
Candidates will ideally have:
- A wide range of experience, knowledge, and skills in geotechnical engineering
- Knowledge of Irish ground conditions and ground investigation practice
- Demonstrable experience in geotechnical design of earthworks and structures
- Experience in numerical modelling
- Excellent communication skills and ability to write clear, concise technical reports
- Strong problem solving and inter-personal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Driving licence
Preferred Qualifications

- BEng/MEng in civil engineering, engineering geology or related field
- MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field is desirable
- Chartered Engineer status, or on track to achieve this within 12 months
