Job Description:
- Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team engineering and architectural teams, clients and AHJs.
- Mentoring junior staff and preparing educational material relating to fire protection.
- Leading fire protection efforts for collaborative teams across the United States. • Working with project management to develop technical proposals and engineering scope of work, budget, and schedule.
- Complete fire protection system designs for sprinkler, special hazard, fire pump, and fire alarm/mass notifications systems.
- Working with NFPA and ICC codes and standards and assisting in the creation of life safety drawings. • Prepares technical specification sections.
- Preparing fire hazard analysis and fire risk assessments.
- Performing site assessments and system evaluations.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Serve as a regional fire protection subject matter expert to provide technical support to AECOM
Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
· PE License
· US Citizenship Required
Preferred Qualifications
- Fire Protection engineering license
- ABET accredited engineering degree
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
- Sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000.
