Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a motivated, team oriented individual to serve as a Senior Electrical Engineer. The position will be located in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing custom solutions, mentoring a team, and develops calculations, construction drawings, design reports, and specifications to support Electrical portions of design work in accordance with building codes. Candidate should be capable of working independently with limited supervision to complete both small and large projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external clients is required. Candidate must be well organized, be able to demonstrate critical thinking and can quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be expected to:
- Complete Electrical power and lighting designs for projects of all sizes;
- Makes major design recommendations and design decisions with input from senior staff;
- Plans design work, calculates costs, and time schedules to assign design duties to junior staff working on projects;
- Coordinates design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers
- Maintains accurate project documentation and design data for permanent project files;
- Acts as an adviser and reviews correspondence prepared by junior project team members;
- Evaluates project staffing requirements, analyzes problems, and writes reports;
- Attends project meetings, or when appropriate, delegates activities;
- Meets with clients, prepares proposals and presentations while maintaining good client relations;
- Identifies prospective clients, assists in marketing to develop new clients, and develops future projects with existing clients;
- Assists in project checking for quality control on other projects;
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans and drawings;
- Ability to switch between work on multiple/different projects daily
- Represents the organization and maintains liaison with individuals and related organizations
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering plus six (6) years of related design experience
- Professional Engineering license
- Driver’s License
- Strong work experience with an emphasis in electrical systems
- Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Uses advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices of sciences and disciplines to complete assignments
- Experienced in Electrical Power Calculation Software
- Experienced in application of National Electrical Code
- Working knowledge of NFPA, ISA, IEEE Regulatory Codes
- Skill in the use of Microsoft programs and BIM software (primarily Revit and AutoCAD);
- Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups;
- Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise

- Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000.
