AECOM has 2 (two) positions available for a Project Manager within our Energy group. This position can be based in either New Orleans, LA or Houston, TX.
The Project Manager is the AECOM Representative communicating directly with client and leads the project team in the execution of the projects. Provides oversight to lead discipline engineers, project administrators, project controls representatives and procurement representative assigned to the project. Manages large and small projects, providing overall design coordination. Ensures client expectations and contract obligations are met. Provides Business Development support as needed. Follows AECOM Project Management, Quality Assurance and Accounting procedures.

The specific duties of this position include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Proposal development including development of engineering scope of work, budget and schedule.
Assist in Contract Negotiations.
Initiate setup of project in AECOM Accounting System.
Planning/Scheduling of resource requirements for project.
Coordinate design issues with team and facilitate resolution of inter-discipline problems.
Support lead discipline engineers and other team members so they can perform their jobs efficiently.
Respond to client requests in a timely manner and appropriate manner.
Document decisions made through all forms of communication with clients and team members.
Manage changes to engineering scope and obtain written client approval on all changes before proceeding with work.
Manage engineering budget and ensure profitability, familiar with Earned Value Analysis.
Ensure timely invoicing and collection of payments from clients.
Ensure proper closeout of project including transmittal of final documentation to client and AECOM electronic and hard copy filing.

BA/BS and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience & education
Experience with the execution of Petrochemical, Power Generation, Industrial Manufacturing, Renewable Energy or Microgrid Projects.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Project Management is preferred
Experience working on solar and/or battery energy storage projects a plus.
A PE license or PMP certification is a plus

Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $92,869.86 to $171,809.24 annually exempt.
