AECOM is currently seeking Project Managers to work in our transportation sector. We are looking for both junior and senior candidates.

In your role as Project manager, you will, among other things, be responsible and lead the work of developing the process for deliverables within the project as well as the overall handling of part-deliverables that will gradually be completed in the project. They will also include so-called traditional project management tasks such as time planning, cost monitoring, quality, risk work, crisis management etc. Assistant Project Managers will be executing similar tasks and reporting to the Project Manager.

You will have the opportunity to work for some of the most interesting infrastructure projects in Sweden.

The positions will suit those who can work with a good degree of day-to-day independence on tasks including desk study/feasibility through ground investigation and interpretation to final design.

Key duties include:
  • Representative for AECOM project team towards the Client
  • Responsible for delivery of work packages in a timely manner
  • Coordination of AECOM Technical Managers/Coordinators (Sweden, Spain, UK, other locations)
  • Identify and communicate overarching Client Requirements to AECOM design teams and oversee compliance with requirements
  • Coordinate and host Client design meetings
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary activities such as workshops and interface checking
  • Responsible for project performance tracking and reporting
  • Manage and communicate project changes
  • Client negotiations for changes in scope and budget
  • Oversee that quality procedures are followed and documented within respective technical disciplines
  • Bid support to BD/Group manager for market sector.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in project management for infrastructure projects (road, rails, utilities). Candidates with less than 6 years of experience will be considered for the roles of Assistant Project Manager and Project Engineer.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.
  • Driven and independent.
  • Multidisciplinary Project/Design Management
  • Experience in development of detailed design and procurement documentation (tenders contract) for performance-based contract and/or design build contracts (AB04/ABT06).
  • Experience in construction site supervision/follow-up.
  • Project management training/experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master in civil-engineering, PM/CM or equivalent
