The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Ensure timely creation and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera. Ensure schedule coordination with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and external clients.
Use resource loaded schedule for staffing forecasting and reporting of earned value. Provide critical path analysis, identify problem areas, and create work-around solutions.
Assist with development and maintenance of project cost report. Report on project engineering performance using earned value analysis. Establish project budgets from proposal estimate, track committed costs, and forecast remaining costs for engineering, equipment procurement, and construction subcontracts. Develop and maintain project cash flow.
Prepare and submit monthly reports for internal and external clients. Advises team on matter affecting project success, analysis schedule and cost impacts, and develops project recovery plans. Part of the project management team assisting in meeting project deadlines.
Assist with development and maintenance of change management program. Identify out of scope work items and create change order requests to be presented to client, including estimated cost and schedule impacts. Review and recommend action on change order claims from subcontractors.
Within area of responsibility, consistently identifies potential project problems or opportunities in a proactive manner, analyzes the issues using all appropriate resources, develops alternatives and arrives at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.
Interface with internal project teams, vendors/subcontractors, and external client.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management/Engineering or related field of study from four-year University or college or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Due to the nature of this role, US citizenship or green card holders / permanent residents are required.
- Attention to detail. Must be able to work effectively with internal and external clients.
- Able to travel as needed for project meetings, site investigations, and vendor or subcontractor meetings.
Familiarity with scheduling software (Primavera) is preferred.
Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
