Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Process-Mechanical Technologist for a full-time position to be based in Edmonton, AB.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Use REVIT to prepare preliminary and detailed design models and drawing for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Use AutoCAD to complete assigned tasks including preparation of report figures, drafting markups and construction redlines.
  • Prepare documentation for design projects and reports.
  • Use BIM360 and other collaborative software and design tools to complete tasks.
  • Complete quality peer reviews of drawings, design calculations and other project documents.
  • Collaborate with other design professionals to delivery projects across Canada and North America.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma + 2 years of related, application experience or Diploma in Engineering Technology (or equivalent)
  • Proficient knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, and BIM360
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of related, applicable experience
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Certified or eligible for certification as a C.E.T
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to work in field or office conditions, and work and communicate with clients, contractors, and other AECOM staff.
  • Previous design experience in municipal water and wastewater related process mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC disciplines is considered an asset
  • Field experience on municipal construction projects is considered an asset
