AECOM is seeking a Mid-level Civil Engineer to be based in Seattle, WA

Job Summary/Responsibilities
• Serves as lead or senior civil engineer on mid- to large size projects.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Approves and signs off on work.
• Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
• Develops and leads development of roadway model for design efforts.
• Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
• Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
• Participates in development of technical proposals.
• Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Initiates and creates project designs and plans with responsibility for preparing presentation and transportation and/or civil design drawings
• Detailed design including preparation of complete calculation packages, and development of details.
• Guide team for preparation of drawings from early stages of the design to the final contract plans.
• Serves as a fully capable professional with minimal direction
• Understand the importance of review and quality control and able to perform review of design calculations and drawings and specifications
• Prepare and contribute in the development and implementation of technical approach in projects with the full collaboration with the project manager
• Oversee the work of less experienced designers.
• Meets with clients to ensure client needs are met
• Develops estimates of technical efforts for projects
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree + four (4) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
• 5+ years of experience
• Roadway Modeling experience using Civil3D, InRoads, OpenRoads
• A current P.E. license in the State of Washington
• WSDOT design experience
• Experience preparing construction plans
• Knowledge of agency/regulatory approval process
• Successfully designing multiple projects and producing quality work under tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills experience
• Municipal design experience
