AECOM is seeking two full-time Lead Texas CEI Sr Project Managers to cover areas in Northeast Texas; preferably based DFW General Area.
Job Responsibilities:
The job would entail a Lead Texas Senior Project Manager to work to perform the duties. The overall Goal includes:
Growing the Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) Market in Texas as Senior PM developing work and performing PM duties as needed.
Target Clients are TxDOT, Toll Road Authorities & RMA’s. May also include clients in other governmental agencies and may also include private work. Texas CEI includes Construction, Engineering & Inspection (CEI), Construction Scheduling Support (CSS), Owner Verification Testing Inspection (OVTI), Independent Engineer (IE),and similar transportation functions. TxDOT Market Areas for these hires- includes but is not limited to DAL, PAR, TYL, FTW, WFS, ATL.
Marketing
- Develop a detailed CEI business development plan with scalable milestones
- Develop internal AECOM CEI team in the region
- Identify strategic partners, develop teaming partnerships and markets
- Strategize and preposition for upcoming RFP’s
- Lead the proposal writing efforts and interview presentation
Write proposals and interview for the RFP
Aid in marketing and proposal development throughout Texas CEI teams
- Conduct regular visits & maintain contact with TxDOT DOCs and AEs (determine future work, AO needs)
- Determine possible selection committee members prior to TxDOT RFPs
- Identify new opportunities and identify needs
- Attend AGC and other conferences as required
Operations (assist with the following):
Develop and maintain a trained staff that will help in the performance of the CEI projects and help win new work in the future
Maintain aggregate billability of staff at 90+%
Meet Project KPI’s (with assistance from AECOM Project Controllers)
Ensure the Client is being billed on time (Participate in biweekly status meetings)
Develop Work Authorizations
Assist with negotiation of billing rates and ODE’s
Conduct Project Reviews including Safety
Perform briefings (twice per year) with the client on AECOM performance
Perform CEI PM duties for CEI Contracts
- Bachelor in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years transportation experience; drivers license required; a combination of education or experience or equivalent.
- Drivers license required
- PE license required in TX or ability to obtain the license in six months
20 years of transportation experience; Microsoft Office excel, word, and video conferencing skills; Working knowledge of TxDOT Site Manager; Preferred TxDOT Precertification requirements: Have obtained 11.1.1 (Roadway Constr. Mgmt.), 11.2.1 (Bridge Constr. Mgmt.), 5.2.1 (Bridge Design), 4.2.1 (Roadway Design), or can be obtained within 3 months after hire date.
Preferred Previous Experience- TxDOT Area Engineer, Assist. AE, Director of Construction (DOC), Assist. DOC, or similar.
