AECOM is seeking a Construction Inspector to be based in our Chelmsford, MA office.

AECOM is seeking a Construction Inspector to be based in our Chelmsford, MA office.
This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Under minimal direction, relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
- Documents construction work completed by the contractor to ensure conformance with contract requirements and approved construction documents.
- Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
- Performs material takeoffs of construction work, price the value of that work, process contractor pay requisitions, and negotiate equitable contract adjustments.
- Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
- Tracks quality assurance progress.
- Prepare correspondence and maintain official construction site records.
- Interprets construction drawings and specifications.
- Perform and document on-site safety reviews.
- Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
- May work on projects in other locations. Travel may be required.
Minimum Requirements
- High School + 6 Years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency and/or education.
- Experience with US Federal Government projects within the past 4 years.
- Knowledge of construction practices and techniques, including experience in proper installation methods of construction materials.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
- Must be able to obtain HSPD-12 Tier 1 Security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Travel may be required.
