AECOM is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to be based in New York, NY.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, final working drawings and Geotechnical reports under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Performs Geotechnical investigation collecting and describing soil/rock samples in the field.
Creates soil profiles based on data collected during the subsurface investigation program.
Performs field inspection: pile driving, drilled shafts, Support of Excavation, Tie-backs, and soil improvements.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems including but not limited to foundation, retaining wall and support of excavation design, slope stability and seepage analysis, etc.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar field with two (2) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Experience collecting and analyzing data in order to create designs, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and final working drawings.
Experience performing calculations and creating geotechnical reports
Experience performing geotechnical investigations and field inspections
Additional Information:
- Offered rate of compensation (NYC locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000.
