About Our Team: The Geospatial team within Rail Asset Management are a team that specialise in measuring and surveying civil infrastructure using established and innovative technologies, including drones. laser scanning and mobile mapping. Working with our clients, we specify, develop, and implement survey solutions. You can assist by bringing a mix of technical knowledge, software skills, analytical thinking, and great instincts.
Job Responsibilities: You will manage, develop, and undertake site-based duties, including installation and survey using a range of laser data capture systems and optical surveying/monitoring systems. You will be responsible for day-to-day processing, analysis, and interpretation of datasets into technical reports and/or drawings in accordance with the scope and technical standards required by our clients.
As a surveyor you will be responsible for planning and preparation of site work and the production of well written technical reports and quality assurance of all deliverables.
You will proactively promote and maintain a safe working environment for all staff and act as a mentor for our early careers staff.

Minimum Requirements
- Relevant degree or professional qualification
- Work experience within a similar organisation or other relevant business
- Knowledge of all aspects of Geomatics, Topographic Surveying, GNSS, Data processing and network adjustments, Laser Scanning, Mobile mapping, and processing of point cloud data
- Experience of survey network adjustments, control data, and processing of & extraction from all forms of point cloud data
- Availability to travel and to work on site (away from home) performing topographical surveys, operation, and maintenance tasks
