AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Geologist to be based in our Cincinnati, OH office.


This position is expected to begin in May 2023.

The successful candidate will assist with a variety of challenging projects including data management, site investigations, and remediation. They will assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological and geochemical data in both the field and office settings. The field activities will consist of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air, and soil vapor sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. The office activities will involve preparation of boring logs, potentiometric maps, cross sections, and investigative reports.

Candidate must also be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors. Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative. Field work will be required including oversight of subcontractors.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education.

  • Valid US Driver's license

  • Due to the nature of work, US CItizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications
  • MS in geology, environmental science, or related field.

  • Collect and evaluate environmental data in field and office settings.

  • Assist with preparing investigation reports.

  • Possesses technical report writing skills.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Independent field worker.

  • Current 40 hour HAZWOPER training.

  • Current First Aid/CPR training.

  • Candidate must be proficient with basic computer programs; MS Word and MS Excel, etc


Additional Information:

  • Relocation is not available for this position.

  • Ability to travel up to 90% to various job sites locally or regionally to support project work is required for this role.

  • Candidates may be asked to submit to a Motor Vehicle Record screening, drug test, and/or medical surveillance screening upon hire.
