Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist for employment within our Environmental Remediation Practices group in the Charlotte NC office to support environmental investigation and cleanup projects. This is a lead technical report writer and editor position; therefore, the ideal candidate must have excellent technical writing skills, be able to work independently and productively in a collaborative team-environment, foster team building through inclusion and mentorship, and display a high level of organization and communication. For the right candidate remote work will be considered.

Tasks will include:
- Managing technical report writing and editing for large portfolio
- Providing technical review of reports
- Preparing reports and other technical documents
- Interfacing with clients and regulatory agencies
- Compiling, evaluating, and analyzing environmental data

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Geology, or closely related field and 4+ years of experience in environmental consulting and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Valid driver's license
- Due to the nature of this work U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- 8 years of related work experience
- Proven experience with technical report writing and editing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Background in the asbestos industry or industrial hygiene
