Job Summary
AECOM Environment is seeking an experienced, Environmental Planner IV/Senior Project Manager for immediate employment in either our Denver or Fort Collins, CO offices.

The candidate will join an excellent team with outstanding career growth potential. A successful candidate will utilize these skills to prepare technical reports and interact with a variety of staff, project managers, clients and regulatory agency staff.

Responsibilities and duties include but aren't limited to the following:
  • Analyze environmental impacts from project activities and develop written descriptions of impacts for environmental documents
  • Support environmental planning practice on proposals by researching requirements and assessing efforts required for permitting
  • Coordinate efforts of planning staff and technical subject matter experts, editing, GIS to adhere to scope, schedule, and budget on preparation of environmental assessments and environmental impact statements in compliance with NEPA and/or other regulatory requirements, CWA 404, ESA Section 7, NHPA Section 106
  • Coordinate public meetings and other public outreach and engagement tasks, including travel logistics, project newsletters, notices, public announcements, and related materials
  • Prepare and/or review technical sections of environmental impact analyses
  • Contribute to business development activities, including client relations and proposal development for new project work
  • Writing technical documents and permit applications.
  • Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on analysis.
  • Works under general supervision
  • Manages complex planning studies, development applications and reviews.
  • Reviews and processes complex comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning, annexations, site plans and plats.
  • Conducts research and prepares reports on land use, physical, social and economic issues.
  • Works in regional program areas relating to natural/water resources planning, community development, hazard mitigation, coastal zone management, and others.
  • Performs field inspections to gather data relevant to the development review process and/or to verify that development projects comply with approved plans.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field ( Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering).
  • 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/ or education.
  • A valid U.S. Driver's license is required for this role.
  • Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years' experience successfully supporting environmental impact analysis documents and associated technical studies
  • Master's Degree in related field
  • Experience preparing environmental documents
  • Understanding of the environmental regulatory framework for US Rockies region, including applicable state and federal laws
  • Strong research and analytical abilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the editing, oversight or preparation of technical reports
  • Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously

Additional Information:
• Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range of this position is: $70,222.00-129,912.00
