AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Water, Wastewater Engineer to be based in Houston, TX.
This position is expected to begin in Jan 2023.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Performs a variety of water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure related assignments that require the application of standard engineering practices and techniques.
- Prepares plans, specifications, cost estimates, and calculations related to design and construction of projects under the supervision of mid and senior level engineers.
- Assist in coordinating and/or directing the work of design staff.
- Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
- Coordinates with regulatory agencies.
- Perform fieldwork activities such as site visits and pilot testing.
- BS Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.
- Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training Certification.
- Course work or Internship and/or Co-op experience with focus on water and wastewater engineering.
- Familiarity/ experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, or Revit.
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams.
- Flexible – can adapt to shifting priorities / work schedules.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Participate as member of professional and technical societies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
