The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performing geotechnical tasks and working closely with other disciplines to meet the project needs
Oversight and management of a variety of subsurface investigation programs.
Adhere to AECOM safety culture and maintain a safe work environment
Assigning geotechnical laboratory testing
Performing design calculations for pavements, shallow and deep foundations, tunnel components, retaining walls, temporary and permanent support for excavation
Perform settlement analysis, ground improvement analyses, slope stability analyses, seepage analyses
Prepare engineering reports and memoranda
Performing construction oversight
Potential for international travel
Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical engineering, Engineering Geology, or Geological Engineering
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or Geological Engineering
- Familiarity working in the following programs: gINT, Settle3, Visual Basic, SlopeW, SeepW, Slide, AutoCAD, UTexas, WEAP
