Job Summary
• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
Minimum Requirements
    • 2 to 5years’ experience in coastal or marine engineering;
    • Knowledge in coastal modelling including hydrodynamic, waves and sediment transport modelling including knowledge of DHI Mike Zero and Delft modelling suites.
    • Experience in the planning and design of marine structures such as breakwaters, revetments, marinas, scour protection systems, block work quaywalls, sheet pile, diaphragm walls, jetties, intakes and outfalls.
    • Experience in the planning and design of artificial islands, beaches, marinas, harbours and waterfront development.
    • Availability to travel within the Middle East;
    • Availability to do occasional site supervision trips in UAE and Middle East
    • Experience in the Middle East in a consultancy environment.
    • Experience in project management, proposal preparation and business development is also desirable;
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum BSc and Preferred Master or PhD in Civil, Coastal, Oceanography, Marine, Marine structures or related field
