AECOM is seeking a highly talented, self-driven and motivated Construction Intern to be based in Jamaica, New York area.
This position is expected to begin in May 2023
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks
Performs entry-level work
Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff
Meets required schedules while producing quality work
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited 4-year college or university and seeking a bachelor's degree majoring in construction management, building technology, civil engineering or similar major
Must have completed one year of studies
Ability to follow direction and manage specific tasks to completion
Ability to learn new technologies and concepts
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Willing to work a variety of tasks alone or as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Valid Driver’s License to operate an AECOM provided motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project tasks assignments and scope of work. For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM’s background check process to ensure compliance with the Company’s driving standards

Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (NYC locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $17.82-$31.18
