Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Under limited supervision, conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Is fully competent in most aspects of the job.
- Works on projects of substantial complexity.
- May assume lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support personnel.
- Assist the Resident Engineer in their duties.
- Participate in submittal, RFI, RFC, construction submittal reviews, claim reviews and draft responses for review by the Resident Engineer.
- Monitor and report on construction progress. Participate in meetings.
- Coordinate the work of field inspectors.
- Provide technical scope and justification for Contract Changes.
- Assist in the resolution of design and construction field problems
- Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience in Civil or Construction Engineering.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. MVR is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Construction Management with at least 8 years of total experience
- 5 years of transit facilities experience
- Experience working with underground transit stations
- ASCE, Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30 training certification a plus
- Professional Engineer is a plus
- Certified Construction Manager by CMAA
