Job Summary
AECOM Colombia seeks an Architecture Discipline Leader to support multiple projects within the Latin America region in the transportation sector.
Principal functions will include the following:

• Local expert on providing technical leadership in a specialty area, often for a district.
• Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs and applications.
• Interprets, organizes, executes and coordinates assignments.
• Makes decisions independently on technical problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work.
• Applies advanced or state-of-the-art knowledge and experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions. The knowledge and expertise required for this level of work usually results from progressive experience.
• Supervision received is essentially administrative, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.

• Architectural leader for building projects and/or transportation infrastructure (mainly airport), in charge of the advancement and technical coordination of the buildings. Will be in charge of the tasks assigned and must assume the tasks of directing packages of deliverables, which implies helping to direct the work team, manage meetings, coordinate technically and/or lead presentations that are assigned.
• Will be responsible for the leadership of projects from the architectural point of view, where decisions will be made to define specifications, design, functionality, among others related to the architectural development of a project.
• Will work with the project design team and will be constantly coordinating with the different specialties involved in it.
• Will be able to carry out project management tasks, where will be responsible for the control and development of different packages of deliverables, for which you will be in charge of communications and must follow up on the different parties involved in it, for example: Client, Partners, Stakeholders, Peer Reviewers, Subcontractors, leaders of other specialties, among others.
• Will work in coordination with other disciplines technical leaders and the technical coordinator of the project.
• As discipline leader, will make decisions based on a complete understanding of the company's procedures and policies to achieve the established results and the agreed deadlines in the project.
• Will follow established procedures and instructions on assigned tasks.
• Will be an active part of the Buildings and Places Team – Colombia / PPM, and will support the tasks assigned to it in coordination with the Technical Director and the Transportation Business Line, especially in relation to airport projects, in correlation with its general and specific experience.
• Local expert in providing technical leadership in a specialty area of ​​airport architecture
• It must be kept informed and updated of new developments and requirements that affect the organization in order to recommend changes in programs and applications; also, on the standards and technical regulations of their specialty (eg: IATA, NFPA, others)
• Interprets, organizes, executes and coordinates assignments, in coordination with the B+P / PPM Business Line and the DT.

Minimum Requirements
  • BS in Architecture with +10 years of professional experience and at least 8 years of specific experience in airport architecture projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in Architecture with +16 years of professional experience and at least 12 years of specific experience in airport architecture projects.
