We are looking for apprentices to join our BIM and Digital Engineering teams across the UK. As leaders in the sector, our BIM and Digital Engineering teams provide challenging opportunities in an ever-evolving industry. Our undisputable global position could give you the chance to work on the design of a major tunnelling project, critical wastewater scheme, international port or nuclear new build and decommissioning project.

We are looking for ambitious, hardworking, enthusiastic apprentices who have computational, mathematical and design skills. Successful candidates will work on a variety of projects from concept design to implementation for clients who operate either locally, nationally or internationally.

You will work towards one of the following qualifications:
BTEC Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Built Environment Design
BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology solutions
BTEC Level 3 Digital Engineering Technician
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support our BIM Managers to implement and manage BIM and Digital Engineering on projects;
Support will include (but not limited to);
Common Data Environment (CDE) set-up and management,
3D model audits
Clash detection
4D visualisation
Contribute to research and testing of innovative digital solutions
Support in the development of tools to automate processes using data science techniques and programming
Assist with technical support to our design staff on the BIM and Digital Engineering systems we use
Assess our team’s capability and provide training where required, to ensure to successful delivery of our projects
You will also learn the main 3D modelling tools we use, such as Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Civil 3D and with these skills you will support the design delivery teams to gain an understanding of the engineering design requirements
This position is ideally suited to school leavers at GCSE or A-Level (or equivalent) who can demonstrate the following:
Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade ‘C/4’ or above, including Mathematics & English;or a Level 2 Apprenticeship
Some work experience or shadowing in an engineering environment would be an advantage
Show an aptitude towards software-based engineering and drawing e.g. Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other similar 3D software, and/or data analytics
Have an interest in programming, gaming, VR, app development, drones, etc
Commitment to continued education and improvement through on-the-job learning and training opportunities
Creative, practical, adaptable and enthusiastic
Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
Ability to think in a methodical way to design, plan and organize parts of projects
English language proficient, holding excellent communication skills to present information in speech, drawings and reports
