The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate and work as part of a team of scientists that provide air quality monitoring services
  • Operate a wide range of air monitoring instrumentation and equipment, troubleshooting instrument problems with minimal oversight
  • Maintain electronic and hardcopy records in an organized manner
  • Collect, organize, and prepare data for reporting
  • Oversee and maintain operations within a laboratory environment with autonomy
  • Collaborate with other scientists and clients to find solutions to a diverse range of air monitoring challenges
  • Provide technical assistance to other departments on a project specific basis
  • Continually upgrade technical knowledge and capabilities
  • Travel to air monitoring stations throughout the Gulf Coast and the United States

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors of Science degree highly preferred, environmental science, atmospheric science, chemistry
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess valid US Drivers license
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
  • Must be willing to travel to air monitoring stations throughout the Gulf Coast and the United States
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous work experience in air quality measurements
  • 7+ years of Air Quality experience is preferred.
  • Master’s Degree in relevant field
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER training
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Environmental sampling experience

Additional information:
