Accela Healthcare is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable & Medicaid Specialist to support our skilled nursing facilities at a corporate level.
If you have a background in accounts receivable within a nursing home or long-term care setting and understand the challenges of Medicaid pending and reimbursement delays, this is your opportunity to step into a high-impact, multi-facility role.
This is not a billing position—you’ll act as a key liaison between our facilities and corporate team, helping drive AR performance, improve cash flow, and ensure accountability across the organization.

What this role consists of:
Monitor and manage AR aging across multiple skilled nursing facilities
Track and follow up on all Medicaid pending accounts to ensure timely conversion and reimbursement
Partner with facility Business Office Managers to resolve outstanding balances
Identify trends impacting collections and escalate issues proactively
Provide weekly/monthly AR and Medicaid reporting to leadership
Act as a corporate liaison between facilities and revenue cycle leadership
Support process improvements to strengthen overall revenue cycle performance
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting (REQUIRED)
Strong working knowledge of Medicaid pending processes
Experience managing or supporting multi-facility AR preferred
Ability to analyze AR reports and drive follow-up action
Strong communication skills with both facility and corporate teams
Proficiency in Excel and healthcare systems (billing/EMR)
Salary will vary based on experience.
