This senior role will help manage and guide the value chain for Oracle SaaS cloud environment by providing cloud capacity insight and executing on recurring activities impacting Oracles Cloud SaaS footprint on OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure). Upon joining the Oracle SaaS Planning Engineering organization, you will participate in the planning across all layers of Cloud Service Delivery. This Systems Analyst is accountable to ensure our projections and buy plans are in lock step with the demand signals for both existing and new services. This position also works in concert with Release Management, DevOps, Cloud PMO, SaaS Operations and OCI Management teams to ensure the we have enough available on hand inventory across the various capacity pools, and that our accelerated growth is supported quarter over quarter by available environments.
This role participates with the leadership team in the growth of the operational areas supporting Oracle Cloud's SaaS portfolio. As a key member of various small project teams, the candidate will be expected to help Technical team members and the Cloud Service Operations leadership improve capability across the following functional areas:
Operational & Executive Reporting
Advanced forecasting and analysis of costs (COGS) related to margin and product ARR
Advanced project delivery such as critical migrations and customer environment tuning
A proven record of accomplishment of working with Developers, Technical Operations leaders, Configuration Analysts, Release Managers and Finance is essential. Experience with BI (OBIEE), Application Express (APEX) and Monitoring (EM12c) will be helpful as well as previous traditional supply chain experience such as Master Scheduling. Experience driving programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organizations financial and tactical business objectives are to be expected regularly. Provides and defines business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.
Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Supply Chain Operations, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collects, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding forecast to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures to make the organization work in a proactive state rather than a reactive state. Perform modeling to support executive management in short vs. long range planning, bringing an advanced understanding of cloud technology adoption, transformation, and impacts on COGS as well as operations over time.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. This role requires a candidate who is a quick learner and has a thirst for knowledge. May have project lead role. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize and display complex data in a concise spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. Ability to think outside the box and a few steps ahead are required. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired.

- MBA or finance experience helpful
- In depth experience multi-year forecasting (supply and demand) Cloud capacity across the stratum of IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
- Previous experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructureor large industry cloud environment, with an understanding of key cloud technology impacts on bottom line financials, and application environment behavior over time
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail and multitasking
- Strong collaboration skills and tool knowledge for focus on earning trust with distributed teams
- Outstanding proactive communication skills: written, verbal, presentation
- Ability to demonstrate confidence, synthesize complex elements into a crisp, yet robust story

- Previous Network Operations, Business Analysis, Systems Administration, Tech support, and/or Software Development experience.
Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure.
Manage all aspects of internal deployment projects and work closely with the internal teams on status, issues and communications. Define business specifications with the internal user community for the global deployment of the application. Define and drive business specifications for product and component integration points. Map standard application functionality to global/local business specifications. Manage product gaps from business specifications to product enhancement and/or business process change. Manage product setup definition and configuration along with internal business process teams. Manage all aspect of product rollout and coordination with internal teams. Define specifications for data migration from legacy systems into newer applications. Define specifications for data interfaces between applications for product rollouts. Manage user acceptance testing and transfer of information to internal teams. Provide technical support for implemented applications; diagnosing and reporting bugs, applying patches and upgrades as needed. Establish priorities for feasibility studies, systems design and implementation to develop new and/or modify the company's information processing systems. Coordinate with functional departments involved to collect system specifications, techniques, and controls. Interact with senior management within Product Development, Business organizations and Global IT.
Provide leadership and expertise in extremely complex internal systems, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommend and justify major changes to existing internal systems. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Ten or more years of related experience recommended.
