Job Summary

The Developer Experience Team (DevX) was designed for the purpose of improving the experience of development teams across Comcast Technology organization. DevX aims to make the lives of our developers easier and more enjoyable during their day-to-day jobs of developing, delivering, and managing software. As a Senior Technical Product Manager on the team, you will specialize in creating a product vision based on insights gained by customer interactions. You will help curate ideas coming from such interactions, identify their relative value, and prioritize the backlog of work to gain maximum benefit to the customer – primarily, other development and operations teams in Comcast. A successful candidate should be a perceptive and creative leader and a reliable problem-solver. It is also required to be professional٫ confident and be able to understand which ideas will and which will not work. Comcast is in the process of building out its developer journeys and the right set of capabilities to support these journeys. This role in particular is responsible for driving the product management function for Develop and Deploy journeys. Our customers are developers, and our domain is highly technical. While you will not be required to write code in this role, the best candidates are those from a prior developer background or otherwise interested in software engineering.

Job Description

As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will lead products from vision to business case and requirements, and you will partner with engineering teams to prioritize and deliver customer value in a timely fashion. You will work to secure new customers and lead existing customer and stakeholder relationships. You will own and regularly update product roadmaps.

  • Build and implement product strategies consistent with DevX vision
  • Handling the Product Line Lifecycle for Develop and Deploy journeys.
  • Leading the Product Analysis and the Market Analysis.
  • Identify and incubate new product opportunities.
  • Defining and tracking key metrics.
  • Design simple experiments to validate value of ideas
  • Organize beta programs
  • Perform business case development.
  • Prepare Key Metrics
  • Provide product training and technical expertise
  • Prepare recommendations to expand product base and vision
  • Provide recommendations to track product use and impact on end users
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of experience in technical product management or equivalent role
  • Bachelor’s degree or related studies
  • Experience with application development frameworks to simplify the application development process.
  • Prior experience with Software Engineering, Cloud Technologies and DevSecOps is preferred.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices
  • Proven technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
  • Proven track record of delivering results and owning products end-to-end
  • Experience with building highly performant, scalable distributed systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
