We are currently recruiting for a

Product Support Specialist (m/f/d) CO2 Incubators

Location: Langenselbold


As a member of the service organization, you will mainly look after our CO2 incubators as well as other product ranges and work worldwide as an interface between product management, engineering, sales and the quality and service departments. In close cooperation with the development, engineering and product management departments, you will ensure that the service staff have the correct and up-to-date technical documentation. You identify and support the training requirements in the service (for direct service and for distributors) and provide the necessary expertise and documentation. You provide technical support to the field service engineers and offer support for particularly critical customers.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Consultation and support for the resolution of challenging technical problems at national and international level; Self-managed resolution of critical technical problems
  • Provides service input to the design and production areas to ensure maintainability, reliability and quality of products and specify required spare parts
  • Provide continuous and timely information to service engineers using technical information, emails and updating web content, communicate and coordinate with service engineers
  • Work closely with engineering/development and product management to create and maintain service manuals and service guides
  • Observe and monitor product quality in the field through computerized systems and work closely with regional staff
  • Represents the service department in finding solutions to equipment problems
  • Design and conduct service training, create online training content and support with AR/VR content development
  • Spare parts planning for new/obsolete parts and/or part number changes
  • Recommends pricing of service products and spare parts in collaboration with service and product management to realize sales targets
  • Supports the business through product knowledge as a service specialist in design adaptions as well as customer-ocused technical support
  • Create and/or assist in the development and implementation of special programs such as validation, service offerings, etc. to grow the service business


Key to Success:
  • Diploma, Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or comparable education, preferably in electronics, mechanical engineering or similar scientific field
  • Relevant product experience from either service, design/development or production – in the area of laboratory equipment preferred
  • Strong background in electrical or mechanical / mechatronics for troubleshooting/repair and design review
  • Demonstrate strong skills in electronics/mechanics/mechatronics
  • Organizational skills, initiative and ability to work on different tasks at the same time and set priorities
  • Self-motivated, ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Fluent English and German, both written and spoken
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Experience in working collaboratively across different levels, functions and regions
  • Willingness to travel as required (up to approx. 15% possible, also international)
