Responsibilities
Seeking EW engineer in the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD area with initial training in the Tacoma, WA area. Our EW engineer will use the electronic warfare integrated reprogramming database (EWIRDB) in creating inputs for specific mission data sets (MDS) in support of the US Army 160th SOAR(A) Regiment. Join our team of EW and Systems Engineering experts in the development of these MDS files, the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) testing of them and in the creation of specific modal radar simulation files used for testing. Support external EW testing events at US based EW Ranges and vendor facilities.
- Conduct original EW all-source intelligence research and engineering analysis to characterize system performance and capabilities
- Analyze ground, naval and aircraft radar, radars, platforms and weapon systems
- Develop EW Mission Data Set files and documentation in support of specific areas of operation and training events
- Analyze intelligence reports in support of mission data generation
- Analyze recorded EW data in response to targeted Regiment RFIs
- Perform IV&V testing recording test results within Excel spreadsheets
- Create RF waveform simulations representative of specific radar operational modes
- Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings, Technical Working Group Session, Program Reviews as requested
- Support external test events at various US EW test ranges
- Travel to Joint Base Lewis McChord approximately 25-50% in the first year of hire to learn the specific MDS programming tool
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or related technical field and one or more years of related experience
- Ability to document/support technical analysis and assessments with strong attention to detail
- Ability to conduct and verify engineering analysis on weapon systems, platforms, and radar systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to support analysis across several technical disciplines
- Familiarity with military/intelligence databases (EWIRDB, CED, MIST, OZONE) is highly desired and understanding how to interpret emitter signals from data.
- Understanding of RF Signal parameters and radars & experience with spectrum analyzers and signal analysis
- MATLAB, Python and other software-based simulation experience is desired
- Knowledge/experience Microsoft Office Applications
- Military experience is a plus
- Requires a TS/SCI
