Location Specifics: This role has a heavy focus on our DeCA business which is primarily located in the Virginia area. However, we will consider U.S.-based candidates residing near major airports to support travel (up to 25%).

HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Leadership and Development - Do you have the talent to lead? GR-e-a-t! As you'll be accountable for promoting a customer-centered culture that strives to exceed customer needs, requirements, and expectations. You'll be accountable for Initiating and maintaining complex internal/external customer relationships identifying customer needs and expectations and taking actions to ensure that Kellogg and customer goals are aligned and met through the actions of the team. Bring your passion for establishing strong relationships, you'll work with customer Director & Vice President level management and above. You'll play an important role in managing and overseeing the creation and implementation of customer business plans by the account team. You'll be accountable for building teams of diverse individuals who work interdependently to achieve business objectives, promoting engagement, collaboration, coordination, and teamwork. Hope you enjoy shaping the talent of the future by identifying, evaluating, and managing talent within the organization through performance management, talent review, and succession management processes. You will play an active role in ensuring the completion and support of team member development plans by providing coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities as appropriate.
  • Financial Management and Data Analysis - Bring your owner's mindset to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company and customer policies and procedures. You'll be accountable for making recommendations for improved performance based on financial analysis. You'll play a crucial role in providing accurate volume forecasts by ensuring that CRM planning is accurately accomplished by the team.
  • Project Management and Partnerships - Bring your talent for storytelling behind the numbers to communicate Business Plans to key customers through regular customer calls above the Buyer level. We hope you have an appetite for leveraging relationships, as you'll partner with Category Management to understand market trends and customer preferences. Bring your experience in working across Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance for finding opportunities and solutions. You'll ensure full implementation of all promotional programs to maximize sales and/or build the most effective off-shelf displays in stores. You'll use your strong problem resolution skills to provide leadership on account issues to Region and internal customer teams beyond the area of immediate responsibility. You'll play an important role in educating and developing rapport with internal customers and promoting partnerships by seeking feedback and responding to customer requests.
  • Strategic Mindset and Drive Results - Bring your talent to identify patterns and trends to make strategic decisions - considering immediate and long-term implications, benefits and costs, and risks associated with decision alternatives. Use your strong communication skills to convey the strategic vision to employees and obtain their input and commitment, motivating them to work toward common plans and objectives. You'll use data to develop strategic business plans for assigned accounts and to develop sales plans and strategies to improve brand/product performance across several customers.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred) OR high school diploma/GED AND significant related experience
  • Management of high-volume accounts or groups of accounts calling on Military/large Wholesale/Grocery/Retailer Headquarters
  • Strong teambuilding skills with several years of direct people supervisory/leadership experience
  • Superior Customer Engagement skills with significant strategic sales experience.
  • CPG (strongly preferred) or other relevant industry experience in a Sales function managing customer teams
  • Advanced project/process management skillset, including experience in P&Ls, financial and data analysis
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
