Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer is Oracle’s strategic offering for a managed private cloud/distributed cloud i.e. OCI commercial region dedicated to a single customer deployed in their datacentre. To drive market success of this offering, we are investing in building a team of highly talented individuals in Asia Pacific.

What You'll Do
You will support OCI-Dedicated Region opportunities from inception to close, working closely with the customer to assess current network connectivity, data centre operations and develop technical blueprints to support Dedicated Region cloud adoption.

Manage all aspects of opportunity lifecycle and orchestrate the alignment of key resources at the relevant stages of the lifecycle in a technical capacity.

Support the identification and qualification of distributed cloud opportunities. For qualified opportunities, lead the solution architecture development including network connectivity and data centre operation changes identification in support of migration from current to future state. In doing so you will support proposition development and articulation of Oracle Cloud innovation and Dedicated Region value to customers.

You will pitch the overall proposition at not only the customer CXO level (CEO, COO etc) but also at operational and technical levels (Architect teams, Infrastructure, network and security teams etc).

Your goal will be to ensure that cloud adoption is not a barrier to our customer’s and Oracle success in bringing the Dedicated Region Distributed Cloud to market. Defining a clear network architecture for our customers ensuring a seamless transition to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in the customers data centre.

Who You'll Work With

Primarily with our customers but working with extended teams internally is vital to the success of this role. You will work extensively with Oracles Insight (Business Value) team, TCE (Technical Cloud Engineering), Industry Architects, Cloud Pursuit & OCI Product management teams.

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in Datacentre transformation/Infrastructure outsourcing/cloud migrations in a pre-sales or an implementer role.  Strong understanding of OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) or other cloud hyperscalers is a must with a particular focus on both traditional (physical) and software defined networking in large scale environments.

You have over 10 years’ of rich experience having worked on software-defined network/data centre, managed/implemented large deals or pursuits & become a trusted advisor to customers.

You have witnessed the data centre evolution from converged infrastructure to hyper converged infrastructure to software defined datacentre. This experience will help pitch the value of OCI platform & software defined infrastructure when deployed in the customers’ datacenter.

You have experience migrating traditional data centre platforms to public clouds with a speciaisation in datacentre network architecture and software defined equivalents. A key skill will be to clearly develop technical blueprints for networks and related services to ensure a successful deployment of OCI- Dedicated region for large scale environments.

You will have experience managing large deals & pitching to C-Level clients. your experience will help you lead & manage the OCI-Dedicated Region opportunity through the sales lifecycle that can span 2-4 quarters. Ideally you will be comfortable in articulating the benefits of the OCI-Dedicated region network architecture and value proposition to both senior executives across multiple industry sectors and technical stakeholders. Your experience in Digital transformation initiatives will help you convince customers of the value delivered by OCI- Dedicated Region as a platform for continued innovation. While desirable and not mandatory, you would have a clear understanding of this terminology having managed responses to multiple RFI/RFPs for large deals in region.

Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.

Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. 12 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.
