Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). The ADON supports the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of resident care.
This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader who is organized, team-focused, and knowledgeable in long-term care regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the DON in managing daily nursing operations
Supervise and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Maintain survey readiness and assist with plan of correction implementation
Monitor clinical documentation and quality measures
Participate in QAPI initiatives and performance improvement efforts
Assist with staffing, scheduling, and staff education
Conduct clinical rounds and audits
Address resident and family concerns professionally
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Minimum 2 years of long-term care experience
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey process
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MDS and PDPM
Infection prevention experience
Experience managing quality measures
