Activity Director

Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Activity Director to lead and coordinate engaging recreational programs for our residents. The Activity Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing meaningful activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being in accordance with regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and passionate about enhancing quality of life for seniors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive monthly activity calendar
Conduct resident assessments to determine activity preferences and abilities
Plan and lead group and individual activities
Coordinate community involvement and special events
Maintain documentation and care plan updates related to activity participation
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Manage activity supplies and budget
Supervise activity staff and volunteers (if applicable)
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
Promote resident engagement and family involvement
Qualifications
Experience in long-term care, recreation, or related field preferred
Activity Director certification (if required by state)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings or weekends
Compassionate and resident-focused approach
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with memory care residents
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for long-term care activities
Prior leadership or supervisory experience
